AIS Transponder with NMEA 2000 NavAlert & NavAlarm Solution

The perfect pack for safety on board. It includes latest Class B+ AIS technology with NMEA 2000 and wireless connectivity plus NavAlert & NavAlarm for independent CPA, TCPA and AIS SART loud audible alarms or any NMEA 2000 parameter.

The AIT5000 “Nucleus” Class B+ 5W AIS incorporates not only a full function Class B+ AIS transponder but also an antenna splitter allowing the main VHF antenna on the boat to be shared with the AIS and VHF. It also has NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, USB and a WiFi server to allow tablets and iPads to connect.

The AIT5000’s wireless interface transmits AIS, GPS and NMEA 0183 data to all the popular navigation apps and software. The wireless interface can connect up to 7 devices and supports both UDP and TCP/IP protocol. If you want the wireless interface to also transmit your NMEA 2000 data from your NMEA 2000 backbone, please add the iKonvert which is an NMEA 2000 to NMEA 0183 converter.

NavAlert allows an alarm to be set for any parameter that’s available on the boat’s NMEA 2000 network. That could be navigation data such as depth, heading or speed, electrical data such as voltage and engine/generator data including temperature, pressure, tank levels, fuel flow etc.

It connects anywhere on the NMEA 2000 network and also takes power from this connection so installation is super simple. A local WiFi network is created by NavAlert so setup is possible via any smart phone, tablet or PC. Simply choose the parameter you want to monitor and set an alarm level. Multiple parameters can be monitored.

Integrated into NavAlert is a custom alarm for anchor drift using an algorithm to calculate the optimum drift radius based on depth and the scope of the chain for reliable notifications. There’s also an anti collision alarm based on CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to closest point of approach) AIS data from a connected AIS. These alerts can also be monitored through the wireless interface with attractive graphical displays of current status. Alerts can also be relayed to compatible multi function devices (Garmin supports this function)

This package also includes NavAlarm, the perfect partner for NavAlert – Digital Yacht’s advanced NMEA 2000 alarm system where alerts can be set for any NMEA 2000 parameter – it adds ultra loud audible alerting to any system – guaranteed to awake even the sleepiest of crew!

NavAlarm is a universal NMEA 2000 audible alert sounder.  With a 102dB output, it’s super loud and built tough too with IPX5 construction for mounting in noisy and challenging areas.

AIT5000, NavAlert & NavAlarm all have an NMEA 2000 interface so the installation is very easy with the included NMEA 2000 Starter Kit. Both NavAlert & NavAlarm take their power through the NMEA 2000 network.

Both AIT5000 and NavAlert have a built-in web interface, which work with any modern web browser, to do all the configuration & operation.

To access the web interface, connect yourself to the product Wi-Fi, just open your web browser, enter the product’s IP address (192.168.1.1) and you can change network name & password and merge the WiFi to an existing WiFi network on board. So no complicated programming software or app required.

For the AIT5000, simply configure the vessel details (MMSI number, Boat name, VHF Call Sign, etc.) through its built-in web interface. You can then merge the AIT5000 WiFi to the NavAlert’s WiFi or any other WiFi network through the Settings page.

For NavAlert, a number of common Alerts have been pre-defined, sorted by category, which you can select and modify or you can create your own custom alert from scratch. When you have configured an alert, you can select the action NAVAlert will take when the Alert occurs, such as the internal alarm’s tone and duration that will be sounded or sending the alarm to a compatible Multi-Function Display (MFD) or even to send an SMS message to your mobile phone (if connected to the 4G Xtream/5G Xtream).

NAVAlert also has a powerful, built-in Anchor Alarm that can monitor for anchor drag and also collision alarms with Closest Point of Approach (CPA) and Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA).

NavAlarm will activate its built-in 102 decibel alarm as soon as it receives an alarm from NavAlert. Two alarm volumes can be selected for the NavAlarm.
